Little Learners
There is a lot of pressure on our kids when we send them to school for the first time. They’re expected to sit still, follow instructions, participate in group activities, communicate their wants and needs... all at the age of five or six. This can feel intimidating, especially to a child who hasn’t experienced a classroom setting before; and as their parent, we want to do everything we can to ease the feeling of overwhelm and make the transition into school as seamless as possible.
At Little Land, we are committed to offering unique learning experiences in a safe, enriching environment. That is why we created the Little Learners program – so we can support your children, meet them where they’re at and equip them with the tools they need to be successful in school.
This program develops skills for: social expectations, community and cultural roles and routines, self-regulation, literacy, speech and communication, fine motor coordination and strength, sensory processing, sustained attention, executive processing, self-care, and basic concepts for the 4 common core subjects. Over the course of 15 weeks children will engage in multi-sensory activities to develop skills that will serve them well in classroom and group settings in the future.
